Shuffle

Located at the heart of Central, “Shuffle” is a playing-card-inspired executive lounge and club – offering a whole new night life entertainment experience in a modernised way, yet with a human touch. Inspired by the world of playing cards, the four symbols (Spades, Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds) and signature icons (King, Queen, Jack, Joker) were used as the language of design throughout the whole place to give a sense of completeness.

It reflects the association between signs and the physical experience that brings visitors to where they are, while achieving an equilibrium between the two. From the composition and presentation of each symbol integrated within the inherent materials of the space, to the handling of proportions and the effects of light and sound, the design team tries to highlight the sensory impact for visitors through the display of space transformation. The team subtly turned each sign and symbol into an actual object, creating a correlation between each area inside the club where it progresses into different zones along a designated path that begins with a minimal facade and a subtle entrance. Each space is a temporal field offering a unique sensory space of memory and transform our sensations in remembrance. As visitors make their way from the dark entrance via the reception area, into the bar & lounge area where it is featured by 300 wine bottles that have been programmed to illuminate with the music rhythm.
