VIEW PROJECT
In this time of deep environmental and climate crisis, green has become a flag of salvation. In every new building, vertical gardens and green roofs are almost a requirement.

EL MTORRAL with its suggestive name is an architectural and constructive proposal that has taken the subject very seriously. The slabs become a large container for more than a hundred tropical species. Programmed drip irrigation provides the minimum and necessary amount of water to this small ecosystem in a rational and fair manner.

Being this true garden contained in the thickness of the structure, the inhabitant can, from inside, put his feet up to the edge and enjoy the scrub that seems to grow on the floor, giving the sensation of being in a house in which an exuberant garden extends outside. . All spaces enjoy this, kitchens, for example, have on the edge of their floor from aloe stalks to rosemary, thyme, basil, cherry tomatoes and lemon trees. It is not uncommon to see a lost squirrel on the third floor that passed from the branch of one of the trees that grow on the edge of the creek or in the front garden and whose branches literally enter through the windows of the building.

From the outside, this Matorral has literally devoured the façade to become it itself. EL MATORRAL is a small oasis in the dense heart of the city.
