the sedan – by singgih s. kartono – stands out with his contemporary tropical style: a light body, exotic shapes and warm colored natural materials. the strong round legs and the woven rattan covers are manually carved and woven by local craftsmen. the basic shape of the legs are inherited from his ancestor, while the new fine details are derived from the old javanese alphabet hanacaraka.
