VIEW PROJECT

The FM House draws attention from its monochromatic brick tones that present an exclusive feel. The residential unit consisted of multiple building masses of various functions: semi-private, private, and service areas.

The building mass pushed back to create a clear picture for the main building. From the outside, fences of the iron bar gave the illusion on the building to seem vague to maintain the facade's clearness by a solid and semi-transparent wall built the outer wall. These approaches allow private experience and transparency simultaneously.

The sidewalk's sequence created a dramatic entrance after opening the 1.5-metres brick door. As a result, people will experience a different feel from the outer area. Multiple building mass, long-span roof, big glass opening, and levitated wall created a lighter feeling than the outer space.

The openness preserved by the wide opening resulted in the inner area as the main view by a continuous interaction between interior and exterior areas by the terrace. The roof extended up to three metres to the poolside. At the same time, every room has pool as the main view. The limitation was only a thin glass.
