The initial task was to transform an old multi-function hall into a new store for Bliblimart that is run by an advanced technology. The store is connected with an online payment system, where customers are able to purchase products without being checked out by a cashier. Located on the ground floor of its new headquarters in Sarana Jaya building, the store becomes a significant part of the company’s new entrance.
The aim of the project is to create a wholesome experience of the future supermarket, which unifies buying, networking and interacting within the realm of an advanced technology.
Our design approach for Bliblimart is to generate a light and bright space that communicates a feeling of freshness and vibrance when entering the space. Together with an integrative visual design, that is simplified yet engaging, the interior design tends to create a futuristic nuance while keeping a sense of warmth and friendliness. The experience in the store should reflect the ease, reliability, and delight that customers associate with Blibli, with an added personal touch.
The supermarket consists of a spacious foyer, café, open kitchen and store area. The café counter and open kitchen are placed like islands under a greater roof, which is characterized by a computer generated pattern, which derives from the store’s featured material - the perforated panel. Between the foyer and the store area emerges an interesting transitional space that presents a lively energy of the café and the open kitchen.
The spatial design is composed of prefabricated and customized perforated panels, predominantly white surfaces, concrete surfaces for the columns, wooden surfaces for the shelving system, brand signature colour for the sign system and endearing illustrations, that are carefully arranged to emphasize the progressiveness and approachable sensibility of the whole ensemble.
