The one with the three - storey house in South Jakarta. We have the opportunity to design from scratch, a hous for a newly wed couple, who areexpecting a new member of the family. The design really starts from a sequential approach on how to give the home owners an exciting spatial experience every time they arrived at home.
Both of the entrances, the main entrance and the side entrance, plays an important role to shape the overall experience. The main entrance designed as a semi-outdoor space which then will providea void with lush greeneries to come upon arriveing on the main door. The same principles are also applied to the side entrance.
Once inside the house, the spatial design provides a spacious double-heighted space for the living space, connecting to the dining area that is overlooking to the exterior. Upon the third floor, the space is aso connected to the exterior as they can enjoy the view of the greeneries and also having an ample skylight to bring natural light to a corridor space that also acts as a reading quarter or study area in the future.
To maintain the privacy of the home owners, the master bedroom's openings are designed to be as less intrusive as possible, overlooking to the void inside.
