Located on a bustling commercial strip in West Surabaya, this project reimagines the urban façade with a sculptural approach to mass and material. The architecture is driven by rhythm, tactility, and tropical sensitivity—merging iconic brickwork with lush cascading greenery in a contemporary language.
The building stands confidently with its bold terracotta-toned brick façade, articulated through a series of arched entries and stacked modular volumes that echo historical motifs with a modern twist. A corner volume curves elegantly, forming a landmark presence that both anchors and softens the urban fabric around it.
Vertical planters and curated landscaping, including palm trees and trailing vegetation, break the rigidity of the masonry geometry—injecting a sense of movement and nature into the otherwise strong architectural grid. The stepped form and setbacks not only provide visual interest but also allow natural light and ventilation to penetrate deeper into the interior spaces.
Programmatically, the building supports a mix of retail at the ground level, office and co-working zones above, and a rooftop garden designed to host flexible events or F&B outlets—blurring the line between commerce and community.
This project is a statement of material honesty, local craftsmanship, and sustainable urban growth—celebrating identity while offering adaptability for a new generation of tenants in Surabaya.
