Mertolulutan House

Mertolulutan

Simpe minimalist house renovation in the middle of Solo for young couple. Without demolishing the existing structure, this project has been a challenge to us in the making. But as you can see, there will always be solutions in every problem. The ground floor of this house consists of a garage, a livingroom, a diningroom + pantry, a kitchen, a bedroom, and a toilet, plus service area. They focuses to family activities, so it was created to be a private area, so we have a solid fence wall as a boundaries between inside (main living area) and outside (the road). The second floor consists of a master bedroom, a kids bedroom, a sitting area, a void, a small front balcony, and a small service area. Natural lighting and air circulations is a must, with considerations about safety. So we place a front balcony that is surrounded with secondary skin of random metal plate to support a good air flow around the house. For the window, we choose tinted stopsol to reduce heat and view from outside the house, but still transferring enough lights. The moodboard of this house is just a simple black, grey, and white tone with compositions of mass and lines to create a simple and modern look design.
