The project is a 111-room 3 star hotel equipped with extensive leisure and meeting facilities, functioning both as a business and leisure hotel.
We were engaged as the project was in construction phase to review the existing architectural design and work on the design of the pool area. While keeping to the intent of the original design, some interventions was done to the façade to give it a nautical character in reference to the context of Rembang as a fishing hub and the hotel’s proximity to the beach.
The interior design continues the nautical theme while juxtaposing the rustic, natural finishes that evokes the traditions and locality of Rembang and sleek, polished surfaces which brings the contemporary feel to the hotel.
