For the client the house is a space to heal , there is no urge to entertain guests with frequent intensity. The owner's brief of this project, he wanted to build a compact house for him & his small family to live in later, only 40% of the land area to be built. Located in high density neigborhood with tight spacing between buildings , we push back the mass of this building to create a cavity with the surrounding buildings, and placed the garden in the area creating an oasis in the neighborhood to make it more breathable.
We pull the main entrance further forward, so when entering the site through the carport they have entered the house. so there is no firm entrance to the main building.
Access to the living area, we make it narrow & dark with gurgling water creating a sense of meditation, at the end of the access there is a storage cabinet that we camouflage with mirror glass material creating a sense of continuity.& when we reach the living area we are faced a void that passes the view, creating a sense of more spacious than it actually is.
We made a circular access to the master room & creating voids between them, to maximize the connection & view between spaces & surounding areas. So from the master room we can see through to the green area in front.
The water element is one of the crucial points in this project. We place pond that can be enjoyed in various areas & activities with their own point of view.
