New Zealand
The EQUUS SOPREMA NOVATHERM Self-adhered Warm Roof System is a light-weight, thermally insulated roofing system which consists of the NOVAGLASS NOVA-SK self-adhered membrane system applied over a thermal insulation board and vapour barrier. This warm roof system guarantees a continuous and efficient thermal resistance (R-value) as per the New Zealand Building Code and is designed for use on exposed architectural flat roofs, podium decks, balconies, and terraces in the New Zealand climate. NOVATHERM self-adhered is our only warm roof system to have a completely flameless installation making it a highly sought-after system where a torch-on membrane system is not desired. The NOVA-SK membranes have high self-adhesive properties, creating a robust watertight system for any warm roof design, and are finished with natural grey slates for an aesthetic, cost-effective solution for the building owner. With a standard self-adhered base sheet and cap sheet suitable for the NZ climate, NOVATHERM can be used on plywood, concrete and metal substrates to form an efficient warm roof system in any area across the country. Key benefits: • Flameless installation. • CodeMark Certified System. • BRANZ Approved System. • Complies with the New Zealand Building Code. • Warranties available when used in conjunction with the correct specification and applied by an Equus Certified Applicator. Why use a warm roof? • Specific project design with condensation risk analysis (CRA) and wind load calculations to ensure the best system available for the buildings requirements. • Condensation Control – A warm roof moves the dew point to the outside of the structure, ensuring there is no condensation build up in the ceiling cavity. • No condensation build up negates the need for mechanical venting, causing less penetrations in the membrane. • Energy Cost savings are maximized with less need for heating or cooling throughout the building. • Creates more space within the ceiling for services. • Light-weight system, strong and flexible for resistance to seismic movement. EQUUS SOPREMA technical support: • Project specific specifications and details. • Condensation risk analysis for warm roof systems. • Wind uplift study for warm roof systems • On-site quality assurance • Nationwide network of Certified Applicators • Warranties available
