ARTA Architects - Recycled Glass Reception Screen

Comprised of 540 oval tubular pieces of recycled glass, the screen forms a luminous wall that filters light and frames the arrival experience, turning construction waste into a sculptural element that greets visitors and staff. The installation underscores Hang Seng Bank’s sustainability agenda while elevating the spatial quality of the lobby, demonstrating how material reuse can sit at the heart of a premium customer environment.

Designed and built in November 2024, the project was delivered for Hang Seng Bank as an interior design and build commission at the Hang Seng Bank Headquarters Building in Central, Hong Kong. The ARTA team was led by Arnold Wong and Tat Lai Wong, working with Tsz Ching Ko and Kyle Yip, alongside collaborators V Design Asia (co‑designers), Woods Bagot (interior designer) and photographer matteisthenewblack, reinforcing a collaborative model for sustainable, design‑driven transformation.
