The project is located within the inner ring of Shanghai urban city, near the historic Changde Road. It is in close proximity from two metro stations and a planned future green area at the residential zone on the south.
The design is inspired by the picturesque Chinese landscape, invoking a sense of nature and a delightful rare pocket of scenery in the bustling city. The dynamic architecture is oriented to maximise open views. The façade forms a gentle ripple towards the main arterial road, whilst a recessed ‘cave’ at the lower part balances the overall massing. The tower is capped by a recessed skirting along its base, which separates and lifts it above the podium.
