The Global Business Services (GBS) arm of this U.S. automobile company required a bigger office space to accommodate new facility requirements, thus, the GBS hub was built. The first of its kind globally for the company, the Hub occupied two floors in a corporate center located at Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Philippines.
HBO+EMTB was engaged to provide interior design consultancy services for the Hub's two-floor office space. The need to maximize the use of work space led to an open plan office concept. The open plan work desks placed along the building perimeter also allowed the use of natural lights which resulted to a brighter and energy efficient office space.
The function of each areas were thoughtfully considered in the design: Collaborations areas used for quick or casual meetings were scattered around the office; enclosed rooms i.e. executive offices and meetings rooms were strategically placed at the core of the building floors; and the interconnecting pantry and training rooms with movable partitions to accommodate large office gatherings and events.
