Larvotto 10 Residence is a residential project designed by JJ Acuna / Bespoke Studio that completed construction in the Fall of 2021. The residence is located in Hong Kong’s scenic water-side Aberdeen Harbour residential neighbourhood, a 20-minute drive from Hong Kong’s CBD. The 1,071 square foot 2 Bedroom and 2 bath residence directly face Hong Kong’s historically iconic and colourful Jumbo Floating Seafood restaurant clad in deep greens, tomatoes, and burgundies. These colours, plus the Client’s love of timber, allowed the studio to dream of a space that was tonally warm, earthy and grounded.
Materials of oak and walnut give structure to the home’s composition. Splashes of terra cotta, brick, and red marble give the space warmth, while mint and deep greens allow for balance and depth. In addition to the home, JJ Acuna / Bespoke Studio designed several pieces custom for the Client, including the L-Shape Banquette and Dining Table in the Dining Room, the TV Stand and the queen size bed frame with side tables in walnut and rattan, the vanity desk and mirror, and the master’s vanity basin in red marble.
All lighting for this project was sourced internationally. Notably, the dining table chandelier in brass and the black master bedroom ceiling mounted lamp is by Schoolhouse Electric in Portland, Oregon. Wall sconces are from Haos in Paris and Atelier de Troupe in Los Angeles. The tomato red and gold office ceramic pendant light is from Marset Portugal. Master Bath wall sconces are by Sebastian Herkner for Rakumba in Australia. The brass foyer light is from Hudson Valley Lighting. Furniture sourced by JJ Acuna / Bespoke Studio includes dining chairs from &Tradition, wool area living room area rug and a cast concrete and resin table from Soho Home, all from London.
This home is the second project between the Client and JJ Acuna, the first project being a romantic Milanese cafe called, Coffeelin.
