We're thrilled to announce that Caydon has confirmed a deal with MYOB, which will see the leading provider of online business management solutions take up occupancy of a sleek new office tower being built on the south-east corner of our exciting new Malt precinct in Cremorne.
“The Malt District is set to become one of Melbourne’s iconic mixed-use locations. Featuring artists and makers, restaurants, a microbrewery with a gastro pub, a boutique hotel, shops, grocers and a rooftop bar, we believe MYOB is a fantastic addition to this creative and cultural hub,” said Caydon Principal, Joe Russo.
The Colliers International facilitated deal will make MYOB the single largest corporate resident in Cremorne, fast becoming known as the Silicon Yarra of Melbourne because of the amount of IT and tech companies and start-ups moving into the area.
MYOB already occupies 5,250 square meters of commercial space in Cremorne, and with its tenancy of The Malt District office tower from February 2020, it takes on an additional 8,800 square meters of space, making way for more than 1000 staff to occupy the combined spaces.
“This is a significant investment in the future of our business. We are currently in a period of fast growth with employee numbers set to increase by 25% this year alone. Opening our Cremorne office in 2016 has been an extremely positive move and this expansion further confirms our role as one of Australia’s leading tech businesses,” said MYOB CEO, Tim Reed.
Our Malt District precinct and office tower has excellent exposure to the Monash Freeway and is only an eight-minute walk to trains and trams. Office workers and tenants will also have access to the impressive features and amenity we have planned for the rest of the site, all under the watchful gaze of the iconic restored and working Nylex clock and sign.
“This is an exciting opportunity for MYOB and demonstrates our commitment to invest in our people. Our current workplace in Cremorne has had a truly positive impact, and we are thrilled to be able to co-locate our employees, with all of the collaboration and engagement benefits we believe this will deliver. We understand the opportunity this iconic location provides to further evolve our Workplace Experience, attract talented team members and enrich our culture,” said MYOB Chief Employee Experience Officer, Helen Lea.
The Hayball-designed office tower complements the adjacent 12 and 14 level Coppins Corner residential apartment complex, which are now available for , and will front a spacious east-west pedestrian laneway on its northern boundary.
