Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) is a lightweight masonry product containing extremely small and finely dispersed air pockets within the material. AAC can be produced in either block form or panels (e.g. Hebel® Power Panel) which are fixed to a structural frame, providing the substrate for architectural monolithic modern render finishes.
AAC has different characteristics to conventional masonry and it is essential that a purpose designed render is used.
The M-TEX render system to AAC comprises of a polymer modified basecoat containing microfibre technology for added strength and performance, then completed with M-TEX Marble
Texture coating. The result is a high-quality architectural finish which prevents water ingress to the structure, remaining vapour permeable and flexible.
The inclusion of the M-TEX protective topcoat offers greater performance, ease of maintenance and extended warranty.
