Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) and Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) return this year with an expanded scale, occupying areas A, B, and the new area D of the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou and bringing together over 2,600 exhibitors. The fairs aim to offer a platform for sourcing and technological exchange to encourage innovation, bringing about both a bright future for the lighting industry as well as providing strong foundations for the development of the building sector.

Under the theme “Light +”, GILE 2023 will explore how lighting can work together with other industries to improve people’s lives. The fair will cover a variety of different industries, with the building industry well represented in topics such municipal management, engineering design and construction, urban street lighting management, urban street lighting and landscape lighting solutions, carbon pilot cities and more. Highlighted fringe events will include “New smart city lighting development forum under the ‘Dual Carbon’ strategy” and “Light up the future, building healthy living spaces together” to be held in hall 19.1.

This year’s Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) will once again gather leading players from the home automation, intelligent building, smart audio & visual and smart energy saving sectors to drive innovation and generate business opportunities. Top experts from diverse industries will share their knowledge of the latest trends and innovations at the show’s various fringe events, making GEBT an unparalleled opportunity for learning and networking for building professionals. Concurrent events include “Green building upgrades lead the future of the Greater Bay Area toward carbon neutrality in 2060”, “Smart building and hotel ‘Dual Carbon’ development summit 2023” and more.

Last year’s fairs saw an increase of 31% in visitors from the previous editions, despite the ongoing pandemic at the time. This year, with the relaxing of restrictions in China, more visitors are expected to attend, with even more international participation at the 2023 edition.
