CABE Hong Kong Celebrates 20 Years of Professional Excellence and Partnership
To celebrate this important occasion, CABE Hong Kong hosted a 20th Anniversary Cocktail Reception on 30 March 2026 at the Foreign Correspondents’ Club (FCC).

The celebration was specially arranged to tie in with the Presidential Visit 2026, during which CABE President Zoe Cox and CABE CEO Richard Harral visited Hong Kong and Macau. Their presence underscored CABE Headquarters’ recognition of the region’s professional excellence, active engagement, and long-standing contribution to the Association.
The anniversary celebration formed part of a series of professional activities held during the visit. On the morning of 28 March, participants attended a technical visit to the University of Hong Kong (HKU) Student Hostel, followed by a technical seminar in the afternoon at the Centre for Future Collaboration at the Hong Kong Institute of Construction. The seminar featured insightful presentations by Sr Tony Wan, President of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, and Ir Dr Goman Ho, Arup Fellow, who offered valuable perspectives on current and future challenges in the built environment.

During their stay, Zoe Cox and Richard Harral also visited the Department of Construction and Real Estate of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the College of Construction Engineering at the University of Macau ,
respectively accompanied by CABE Hong Kong Chair Mr Kyran Sze and CABE Macau Chair Mr Danny Chan. These visits reinforced CABE’s commitment to academic collaboration and professional development across the region.
In parallel with the celebrations, Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with the Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design (HKIUD) and the Hong Kong Institute of Construction Managers (HKICM) were renewed, and a new MOU was signed with the University of the Built Environment Asia Pacific Office, further strengthening CABE’s strategic partnerships.
As CABE Hong Kong looks ahead, the 20th Anniversary stands not only as a celebration of past achievements, but also as a reaffirmation of our shared vision, professional passion, and commitment to shaping a sustainable and high-quality built environment for the future.
