VIEW PROJECT

The ivy-wrapped building at 19 Princess street is one of Aukland's most identifiable.

A category 1 Historic Place, the Northern Club is home to Aukland's most prestigious club. The building has seen several alterations over its 160-year lifespan, the most prominent being 'Wintergarden' by Fearon Hay Architects in 2009. A decade on and the club wished to broaden their membership hoping to attract a younger audience.

The leafy green podium named Bankside, the club's newest addition, offers the opportunity for it's members to arrive undercover, ascend to the lounge and rooftop gardens, dine within the courtyards and play croquet on the green lawn.

All is set within the beautiful; gardens, the richly crafted interiors and the scent of the wood burning fires at Bankside.
