MARVEX 2026 Highlights Evolving HVAC&R Technologies and Industry Priorities
Held alongside the Malaysian Engineering Exhibition and Conference (ENGINEER 2026), the event brought together industry professionals to explore developments in heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC&R), as well as their role in supporting modern buildings and industrial infrastructure.
This year's programme placed emphasis on three areas: data centre infrastructure, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and HVAC innovation for smart and green buildings. These topics reflect growing industry attention towards energy efficiency, digital infrastructure and the operational demands of increasingly complex buildings.
The exhibition also featured live technical showcases and industry knowledge sessions, providing opportunities for participants to examine emerging technologies and discuss their practical applications. Conference programmes included the MARVEX Forum, alongside technical discussions involving engineering professionals and industry stakeholders.
MARVEX 2026 was jointly organised by C.I.S Network Sdn Bhd, the Malaysia Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Association (MACRA) and the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM). The event was held concurrently with Data Centre Exhibition Asia (DCX Asia), which focused on infrastructure supporting the region's expanding digital economy.
The co-located exhibitions reflected the growing intersection between engineering, building services, energy management and digital infrastructure. In particular, the increasing demand for data centres has brought greater attention to reliable cooling systems, power efficiency and the integration of building technologies.
As the HVAC&R sector continues to respond to changing technical requirements and sustainability considerations, industry platforms such as MARVEX provide a setting for professionals to exchange knowledge, assess available solutions and discuss challenges affecting the built environment.
