Strengthening Regional Partnerships for a Greener Built Environment
The Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) marked a key milestone in regional green collaboration last week, co‑hosting a thematic session with BEAM Society Limited (BSL) at the GreenBiz HK Forum in Bangkok. Under the theme “Building Smarter, Greener and Healthier Cities: A Collaborative Initiative Between Hong Kong and Thailand and Opportunities for the Green Supply Chain in the Region,” the session brought together stakeholders from both markets to explore new pathways for low‑carbon, people‑centric urban development.
he forum also saw the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between HKGBC and Central Pattana (CPN), with HKGBC Director Ms Grace Kwok representing the Council. Through this partnership, HKGBC will support capacity building and project assessment using BEAM Plus, helping more of CPN’s retail and F&B developments in Thailand achieve high‑performance green building standards and driving broader uptake of certified sustainable projects in the region.
HKGBC expressed its appreciation to the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) for organising the forum and facilitating cross‑border dialogue on green growth. By deepening collaboration with partners across Asia, the Council remains committed to advancing shared goals for greener, healthier and more resilient built environments.
