Mannington Commercial solid heat-weld rods are designed to be used in conjunction with Mannington Commercial Homogeneous and Heterogeneous commercial sheet flooring products.
The solid welding rods can be used with all commercially available heat-welding equipment designed for use on PVC floor coverings.
Mannington Commercial recommends using a urethane tip. Urethane tips regulate the air flow of the heat, from the end of the heat welding gun, at a consistent temperature allowing the weld rod to be melted directly into the groove and reduce the potential for “burning” the seams. This consistent temperature is required when melting both the sheet vinyl and weld rod together during the installation process as this creates the strong bond and acceptable aesthetic appearance.
