VIEW PROJECT
This black zero-on-the-meter home is located in the Drijlaanen nature reserve in Tilburg.

The starting point in the design is to integrate the house into nature as much as possible. Because of its black planking, the house almost disappears against the edge of trees with its dark trunks that it stands in front of. The position of the house has also been chosen in such a way that it is hidden from view by the large hazel bush, but still enjoys the optimal views.

In addition to an ecological finish with pine planks and black bio-coating, the shell of the house is also completely bio-based. The main construction is made of wood with flax insulation. The house thus provides CO2 storage instead of putting negative pressure on the environment. Due to the heat pump and the concealed solar and heat panels, there is no negative footprint in the longer term.
