The American based clients found this space on the top floor of the NZ Historic Places Trust Category 2 listed High Para building (the former Skellerup Warehouse (circa 1900)) and were eager to convert it in to a New York-styled loft apartment. All existing features and materials were stripped (by hand) to a raw state and exposed. All internal services and steel structural items were also exposed and painted black to celebrate the industrial nature of the building.
