The HKIDA X CIFF Designer Tour, held from 19–20 March 2026 in Guangzhou, underscored Hong Kong’s growing engagement with one of the world’s most influential furniture and design platforms. Over a focused two‑day, one‑night programme, HKIDA arranged accommodation, transportation, and dedicated on‑site support for members as they attended a packed agenda of forums, gala events, exhibition visits, and a curated sharing session.

The entry deadline for the 2026 INDE.Awards has been extended to 2 April 2026, giving practices across the Indo‑Pacific more time to refine and submit their strongest work.

The SIA Study Tour: Tokyo – Advancing Architectural Excellence & MET Innovation marked the Singapore Institute of Architects’ first overseas architectural immersion study tour, organised with the support of SKK Singapore (https://skk.com.sg/). Held from 10 to 13 March 2026, the programme brought 23 delegates to Tokyo for a focused exploration of architectural design, practice, and internationalisation through curated building visits, expert dialogues, and cultural experiences.

The 20th edition of Eco Expo Asia was successfully held from 28 to 31 October 2025 at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong. Jointly organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, and co-organised by the Environment and Ecology Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), this milestone event attracted over 11,000 buyers from 118 countries and regions and featured some 340 exhibitors from 13 countries and regions.

The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) is excited to share that Louis HUNG Wai Yin has been awarded the 35th HKIA Young Architect Award. The ceremony, held at the Rosewood Hotel on October 31, 2025, celebrated the creativity and vision of emerging talents in architecture.

Every year, International Construction Week (ICW) and BuildXpo bring the global construction community together in Kuala Lumpur for a week of innovation, collaboration and transformation. At the heart of this event is the International Construction Transformation Conference (ICTC), the flagship knowledge platform hosted by CIDB Malaysia.

AIA Hong Kong is set to host an engaging symposium that will bridge the architectural insights gained from recent explorations of Southeast Asia with the local community. Over the past three years, AIA Hong Kong members have traveled to Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, and Manila, immersing themselves in the rich and diverse architectural landscape of the region.

On September 18 and 19, we co-hosted two transformative events: the "Making of Places: Participation for Everyone" seminar and the “Staunton Community Building Workshop”. These events were part of the Agenda 2030 initiative, organized by the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Hong Kong, Neighbourhood Innovation Lab by Architecture Commons , Hong Kong Social Entrepreneurship Forum , and Social Enterprise Summit , with support from the Agenda 2030 Project Fund and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Czechia. Wyndham Social and Habyt served as our venue partners.
