Five Years of Growth: Ambius journey in the Daintree

At Ambius, we've always believed in the power of thriving spaces – not just indoors, but also the incredible natural environments that sustain us all. That's why we're so incredibly proud and passionate about our long-standing partnership with Rainforest Rescue. Since 2014, we've been a dedicated sponsor, contributing to their vital work in protecting and restoring our planet's precious and largest rainforest - The Daintree! 

But we wanted to do more...

A Milestone Achieved: Five Years of Rainforest Restoration in the Daintree

In 2020, our Ambius teams embarked on a truly hands-on initiative, travelling to the Daintree Rainforest to participate in seedling planting at the Nightwings property. Having been involved in every tree planting effort there for the past five years, we're incredibly proud to announce a significant milestone: this year not only marks our fifth consecutive year of planting at this remarkable location, but it also signifies the successful completion of the Nightwings Rainforest restoration project!

This extraordinary achievement involved the ecological transformation of the final portion of 15 hectares of former sugarcane land back into thriving lowland rainforest. We are immensely grateful to have played a part in this vital environmental endeavor.

Each year, our team was a part of carefully planting seedlings chosen by the expert Rainforest Rescue team. This meticulous selection ensures the delicate balance of the ecosystem is maintained, allowing the flora and fauna to flourish as these young trees grow into the vibrant rainforest they are destined to be.

Walking through the Daintree this year, a profound sense of humbled feeling and accomplishment washed over us as we walked under the very trees planted in previous years, some already forming a magnificent canopy – the ultimate goal! This canopy is crucial, as it signals the return of diverse animal life, including many endangered species like the iconic cassowary. Seeing our efforts literally bear fruit (and shade!) was an incredibly rewarding experience.

We're incredibly proud of the significant contribution we've made so far. With each step, our collective efforts have consistently driven meaningful change, and we're thrilled to share the impact created to date. This - just the beginning of what we aim to achieve together with Rainforest Rescue team and the planting community.

An Immersive Embrace in the Daintree

Stepping into the Daintree isn't just an experience; it's an immersion. There's a profound, ancient energy that washes over you, a feeling as deep and rooted as the rainforest itself. Amidst this incredible natural power, one can't help but feel the vibrant dedication of the tree-planting community. It's truly inspiring to witness the collective spirit — partners, local community members, and the passionate Rainforest Rescue team — all coming together, breathing life into a shared goal and a common cause. This convergence of nature's majesty and human heart creates a truly unforgettable sensation.

The Rainforest Rescue team truly are the warriors of the Daintree, and their tireless efforts never cease to amaze us. Even as we celebrate the completion of the Nightwings restoration, they are already setting their sights on the next vital step: securing a new property for restoration! For the first time ever, this new project is located at 110 Cape Tribulation Road, another critical ex-sugarcane field ready to be transformed back into lush rainforest. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to Rainforest Rescue for allowing the Ambius team to be a part of this incredible journey and for their unwavering commitment to protecting this irreplaceable natural wonder!

At Ambius, our goal and drive is to transform indoor spaces for our clients, making them thriving environments that offer more in experience, health and wellbeing. It's incredibly rewarding to extend that dedication to the outdoors, contributing to our greatest natural gem that sits quietly in Far North Queensland – the magnificent Daintree the "lungs of Australia."

Daintree vision 2040 – is to buy back all remaining threatened rainforest properties in The Daintree! We can all play a part in achieving this goal, however big or small our contribution.
