Fytogreen proudly designed and installed a custom indoor green wall for the penthouse at Essence Brighton, a premium residential development in Middle Brighton, Victoria. This vertical garden is a standout feature in the penthouse, combining modern aesthetics with the benefits of biophilic design to elevate the living experience.

Measuring 2.9 metres wide by 1.7 metres high, the green wall covers a total area of 5.19 square metres. It was constructed using Fytogreen’s innovative FytoFelt system, a lightweight, soil-less planting medium ideal for indoor environments. This system supports healthy plant growth while requiring minimal maintenance, making it perfect for luxury residential applications.

The wall features 100 plants across 10 carefully selected species, chosen for their ability to thrive indoors and contribute to air purification, humidity control, and visual appeal. For example, Adiantum fragrans (Fragrant Maidenhair Fern) adds a soft, feathery texture that enhances the ambiance, while Spathiphyllum 'Power Petite' (Peace Lily) is known for its lush foliage and air-cleaning properties.

Beyond its aesthetic value, the green wall plays a vital role in improving indoor air quality, reducing stress, and creating a calming connection to nature. It complements the penthouse’s luxurious finishes and aligns with the broader wellness-focused design of the Essence Brighton development, which includes amenities like a yoga studio, gym, and pet grooming facilities.

This project reflects Fytogreen’s commitment to sustainable green infrastructure and demonstrates how living walls can transform indoor spaces into vibrant, healthy environments.
