Over the weekend, Fytogreen Australia proudly announced that two of its landmark projects received Honourable Mentions at the World Green Infrastructure Network (WGIN) Awards 2025, reinforcing Australia’s position as a global leader in sustainable design and biophilic innovation.
This year’s awards celebrated excellence in living architecture across key categories such as Green Walls and the new Innovative Living Systems category—and Australia shone brightly with two winning projects and three Honourable Mentions in total, a testament to the nation’s commitment to green infrastructure.
Innovative Living Systems Category 83 Pirie Street, Adelaide – A landmark workplace integrating 110 m² of living systems, 774 plants across 32 species, designed to set new benchmarks in workplace sustainability and biophilic design. The project integrates planters across multiple levels, including elevated aluminium planters, ground-level installations, and sculptural GRC pots. Watch the submission video: CLICK HERE

Green Walls Category Flinders Gate Atrium Green Facade, Melbourne – A pioneering three-storey internal green facade supported by a custom Tensile webmesh system, complemented by 141 modular wicking planter boxes across three office levels. The living systems contribute significantly to biodiversity and liveability, supporting a curated palette of indoor-suitable plant species that thrive in low-light conditions.
