Harbord Diggers at Freshwater has a legacy of change and expansion that spans more than eight decades. Harbord Diggers was born on 5 June 1930 as a place where Aussie Diggers who returned from the Poppy Fields of France could meet and share their stories over a cold beer. Over the decades the club became more than just a place to meet and socialise, but a place that gave back to the community and helped those in need. By around 2010 the club was physically weathered from the salt, wind and sea and its patronage was also reaching the end of its life.
A new dawn for the Diggers rose and construction of the new precinct commenced in 2016 to create a contemporary venue that includes a new club, a professional childcare facility, state-of-the-art fitness and aquatic centre and a seniors’ living village.
The seniors’ living apartments are modern and sleek, featuring Intrim’s Series 800 Shadowline Skirting and Architrave and custom MDF timber Pelmets.
Lawrence Li from DLC Interiors discusses the benefits he found when using the Intrim Series 800 Shadowline System compared to other Shadowline products he has used in the past.
