The inaugural Kömmerling Tomorrow Award 2026 was introduced to recognise fabricators demonstrating measurable leadership in sustainability, operational efficiency, and responsible manufacturing practices across Kömmerling’s global network.
With participation from 119 countries, submissions were assessed on key criteria including material optimisation, recycling integration, energy efficiency in production, and implementation of circular economy principles. We are proud to see Australia represented at the highest level, with APS Double Glazing named as a finalist and ultimately awarded the 2026 winner.

The €1,000 prize will be donated to the Royal Children's Hospital, aligning environmental responsibility with community impact.
Kömmerling continues to advance sustainable system design through material innovation and lifecycle thinking. This includes developments such as fully recycled uPVC profiles (ReFrame) and bio-attributed uPVC systems, contributing to reduced embodied carbon and improved resource efficiency. These initiatives support project outcomes aligned with green building certifications and evolving compliance requirements, while reinforcing a long-term commitment to circular material use within the built environment.

The Tomorrow Award highlights the importance of collaboration across the supply chain, encouraging fabricators, designers, and specifiers to adopt more sustainable practices and deliver higher-performing building solutions.
