This year marks a major milestone for Screenwood, celebrating 20 years as a proud Australian made and owned company.
Ippudo Restaurant, Koichi Takada Architects, 2013
Based in Kirrawee, NSW, Screenwood has grown from a local specialist into a nationally recognised brand, offering premium architectural linings across the country through a trusted network of consultants and distributors.
From the beginning, Screenwood has been committed to innovation, quality, and environmental responsibility. Our journey began with a clear vision: to bring acoustically effective, visually striking linear timber systems to the Australian architectural landscape. Our very first product – a modular acoustic panel system – set a new benchmark for functional and aesthetic interior design.
2005 - Screenwood launches solid timber Panels, our first product range.
2010 - Screenwood celebrates 10 years in business. Milestone projects include ACT Law Courts, Garangula Arts Gallery and City of Perth Library.
2021 - Modulo® Group 3 fibreboard tounge and groove lining launches, quickly becoming an industry bestseller,
2022 - Stix® arrives offering a range of prefinished, decorative loose timber battens to complement our Modulo® and Panels systems.
2023 - Soundlina® becomes a first to market perforated acoustic wallpaper, winning the 2024 Australian Good Design Award for Exellence in Product and Industrial Design.
2024 - Modulo® Group 1 joins the family, providing top performance in the highest fire-rated environments.
2025 - Screenwood launches Modulo® Acoustic, providing top acoustic performance and Group 1 certification for the highest fire-rated environments.
Insight-driven innovation
Over the past two decades, we’ve listened to the needs of architects, designers, and builders, continually refining and expanding our product offering. What started as a focus on acoustic panels has evolved into a comprehensive suite of prefinished architectural linings for a wide range of applications.
Today, Screenwood provides an integrated collection of acoustic, decorative, and high fire-rated solutions for interior walls, ceilings, and curved surfaces, enabling design flexibility without compromising performance or compliance.

Sustainability is at the heart of what we do.
Screenwood is committed to reducing environmental impact at every stage of production. We source responsibly, prioritise efficient manufacturing processes, and ensure our products contribute to healthier indoor environments.
All Screenwood products are Global GreenTag™ certified and timbers are all PEFC™ certified from sustainably managed plantations. This approach has made Screenwood the preferred choice for commercial projects seeking Green Star, WELL, or NABERS ratings.
Screenwood’s success wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of our in-house team, the loyalty of our national network, and the trust of Australia’s design community.
Together, we’ve contributed to thousands of iconic interiors – from public buildings and commercial spaces to educational and cultural institutions.
As we celebrate two decades of innovation, craftsmanship, and collaboration, we look to the future with pride and purpose. We remain committed to delivering beautiful, sustainable solutions that meet the evolving needs of the design and construction industry.
Thank you for being part of the Screenwood journey. Here’s to the next 20 years!
