Integrity Door Services Completes Major Aviation Hangar Door Upgrade at Archerfield Airport

Integrity Door Services has successfully completed a specialised aircraft hangar door upgrade at Archerfield Airport, located just 20 minutes from Brisbane’s CBD, delivering a high-performance access solution for critical aviation operations.

The project was undertaken for Multi Span, a leading Queensland-based design and construction company and head contractor for the development on behalf of Archerfield Airport Corporation. The upgraded facilities are occupied by Queensland Police and LifeFlight helicopter operations.

The scope of works included the removal of three large hydraulic swing doors and the manufacture, supply, and installation of custom industrial steel roller shutters incorporating innovative sliding mullion systems. The largest hangar opening measures an impressive 22 metres wide by 6 metres high, with the new door system providing secure, full-width access for aircraft movements while maintaining exceptional structural performance.

Engineered to withstand wind speeds of up to 200km/h, the doors feature advanced safety interlocks, automated operation, and photoelectric beam protection, enabling rapid and secure access during emergency deployments.
