Group GSA were appointed by EY to lead the design of the Wavespace within 200 George Street Sydney, creating a benchmark regional destination of digital innovation for EY Asia Pacific. Our teams research and experience across workplace and education sectors in particular brought a ready appreciation and knowledge of the impact of design on behaviours. In the Wavespace environment we identified with the opportunity to inform both conscious and unconscious thought to foster innovative outcomes.
EY wanted to invest in an environment to support them for a minimum ten and potential 15 year period of occupancy within 200 George Street, so developing a Wavespace framework which has an inherent ability to evolve without physical change or capital costs, was the driver. A considered application of technology, flexibility and modularity of components and an inherent ability to manage digital content facilitated a solution that is intuitive to change and simplistic in application whilst supporting the ability to continually evoke a changing user experience.
The Wavespace provides a physical environment to foster enriched experiences for EY clients, partners and people. We identified that the environment and the behaviours it evokes reflects and informs the innovation of the EY brand being intrinsic in its DNA. Most importantly the environment enhances the EY customer proposition in an increasingly competitive market and the facility is an opportunity to attract industry talent, attracted to EYs leadership in digital change.
