The project is located in an industrial factory area on the outskirts of the city. The site of the park is open and level, with the north side adjacent to the municipal road, and the south side is the undeveloped open space in the city. The office building is planned in the middle of the park, with courtyards composed of pine forests, lawns and footpaths on the east and west sides, and a wide front square and parking lot on the south side.
The office building is about 85 meters long and 50 meters wide, covering an area of about 8,000 square meters. It is spread out horizontally in the site. Under the relatively loose land use conditions, the design fully organizes the building space layout around the relationship between courtyards, and combines functional requirements and streamline paths to generate various scenes between inside and outside, creating a sunny, green, and vibrant working environment.
1. Horizontal space
The upper and lower floors of the building will present completely different spatial impressions: the first floor is closed to the outside and inward, while the second floor is open and outward, thus emphasizing the horizontal characteristics of the building as a whole. The external image of the building produces an intention similar to traditional Chinese architecture - a floating roof and a heavy plinth, with a free and transparent space between them. The first floor is the raised "base" part. The two-storey courtyard divides the "platform base" into three parallel functional blocks of south, middle and north, and the functional block on the south side also contains several small courtyards. Ensure that all rooms on the ground floor are adjacent to the courtyard, with good lighting and diverse views. The two floors above the "platform base" are flexibly divided into multi-scale office and public spaces by glass curtain walls, so that internal activities can be freely extended to the outdoor platform. Six connecting bridges connect three functional spaces horizontally, creating simple and effective circulation paths and further dividing several inward courtyards.
2. The garden of light and shadow is a
flat roof with an area of about 4000 square meters +Shading grills cover the entire building site. The design image of the roof shading grille comes from the linear texture of the surrounding farmland landscape, and combines the grid structure and the flat floor to produce a "softening" effect. The shading grille will produce a gradual arrangement from dense to sparse from the center of the building to the two sides. Each grille itself also has an arc-shaped width gradient. At the same time, the surface of the aluminum grille is perforated to weaken the sense of solidity. The roof and the shading system are combined into a whole large roof. The translucent roof is like a huge lampshade under the sun, and the buildings and courtyards below it naturally evolve into a forest of light and shadow. The space follows the changes of sunlight throughout the day, and the rhythm of light and shadow is intertwined and superimposed, and the vivid natural scenes are interpreted together with human activities.
3. The compound place
revolves around the basic characteristics of the office building, and combines the internal and external scenes to derive a variety of compound work and living places. The double-height entrance reception hall under the eaves faces the front plaza, and behind it, relying on the courtyards and trees unfolding layer by layer, it presents a distinct first impression to users and visitors. Various types of office spaces are set up on the ground floor of the building, including small and medium-sized offices facing the courtyard, open office areas, conference rooms, multi-functional halls that can accommodate 300 people, financial rooms, and settlement rooms. The office area of each department is divided into sections based on the plane to avoid mutual interference. Set up some leisure spaces at the junction of the pedestrian flow path, such as a cafe facing the tree courtyard, so that people can share a comfortable social and rest time. Three indoor stairs and two outdoor stairs connect the upper and lower floors, taking into account the efficiency and comfort of the workflow. The space layout on the second floor is more free and flexible, including several large offices, large conference rooms, multimedia rooms, book reading areas, gymnasiums, staff restaurants, etc. The transparent walls under the large roof make all rooms closely adjacent to the terrace and roof garden, and the indoor and outdoor environments under the light and shadow are integrated.
4. The construction of nature
The building is more restrained in the use of materials, focusing on the logical relationship between materials and space, the integration of inside and outside, and the expressive power of the material language itself. The front plaza, the first-floor exterior wall and the second floor of the building are all made of red brick, which is a typical material for historical buildings in the area. Combined with the architectural form of the office building, a continuous undulating brick texture surface is formed from south to north. The masonry method of red brick is closely related to its location, opening method, and functional requirements, and changes in unevenness, overlapping, and infiltration occur in different areas of the brick surface. Between the brick box interface, indoor and outdoor bridges, stairs, door and window frames, and some indoor countertops are all made of steel plates, and some outdoor floors are also anti-slip. The interior of the brick box is treated as a uniform light-colored background, using terrazzo, paint, etc. Above the brick box, perforated aluminum grille ceilings are used inside and outside the second floor space, and pipelines such as lighting, air conditioning, and equipment are hidden, forming a complete space interface, which corresponds to the rough brick surface.
