Kings Square - FOMO

Freemantle

The Kings Square - FOMO project in Fremantle, Western Australia, weaves together art, architecture, culture, retail, food and experience in an open and borderless retail, food and dining destination. Open planes of sight and an organic free flowing experience replaces the traditional delineation between retail offerings. Open spaces offer numerous opportunities for sitting, walking, engaging and exploring, with an emphasis on the journey being as important as the destination. The project uses art, architecture and culture to reflect the heritage and unique identity of the port city of Fremantle.

FOMO — with its focus on the redevelopment of the former Myer and Queensgate buildings, which are culturally connected to the heart of Fremantle — is not only set to bring the heart of Fremantle back to life but serve as a game changer for the retail landscape in the city of Perth. Together with the broader Kings Square Fremantle project, it is slated to be an economic enabler and trigger for renewal. With FOMO at the heart of the Kings Square redevelopment, it will also deliver a new city of Fremantle administrative and civic centre as well as rejuvenate public spaces surrounding the site.
