About PTX We are David Gibson and Melanie Hoessle, the co-founders of PTX Architects. We first met in 2001 while working in architectural practices in Melbourne, where we bonded together thanks to our common sensibility and passion for design. In the two decades since, we have lived, travelled and worked together throughout Australia and Europe. Boasting over 38 years of experience between us, we have worked for multiple award-winning architectural practices, and developed a diverse range of expertise to create sustainable and site-responsive residential, public and community architecture. We launched PTX Architects in 2006 and relocated two years later to Denmark, on WA’s picturesque south coast. With deep roots in the local community, we have built our philosophy on a reverence for place, and the importance of finding harmonies between our clients’ needs and the landscape they live and work in. We specialise in creating bespoke residential, public and community architecture that reflects and responds to the landscape around it, and our clients include individuals and families, and large commercial and community organisations.
