About Kwai Hung Group
Founded in 1972 by Mr. Chan Kwai Hung, Kwai Hung is a family business rooted in Hong Kong. With Mr. Chan’s vision, diligence and fighting spirit, the company quickly accelerated and eventually evolved into a property developer and construction conglomerate. Kwai Hung Group built its reputation by matching an entrepreneurial skill set with conservative disciplined management. Though the group is well established in the property development sector, it is looking to diversify across a wide spectrum of regions, industries and asset classes, giving the group access to resources and critical mass to take advantage of investment opportunities. 1970s Coming from humble beginnings, Mr. Chan Kwai Hung fled China to come to Hong Kong during the civil war. Mr. Chan started off by collecting old furniture to furnish apartments to rent and sell. It was initially a side project that became a flourishing business. 1980s Kwai Hung Construction and Kwai Hung Securities were founded. The company built its first residential building Silver Jubilee Mansion in 1981. It marked a major milestone for the group as it expanded its property development business. 1990s The company mainly focused on developing residential buildings to sell in Hong Kong in the 90s. Some of the projects include: Corona Tower and Kwong Fung Terrace. The group began investing in property in Canada. 2000s Kwai Hung continues to deliver high quality residential developments in Hong Kong, e.g. Casa Paradizo. Meanwhile, the group started refurbishing some of Kwai Hung’s older assets to increase revenue. Buildings on Gage Street and 90 Hollywood Road were renovated to reveal a more modern aesthetic. 2010s Kwai Hung continues to look for overseas opportunities. The group acquired a retail premises on Kensington High Street in London. The group founded boutique serviced apartments brand “BEAK” in 2016.
