Ocean Park Water World project includes construction of the theme world for various indoor and outdoor water attractions. Waterproofing is the highest challenge for this Complex Structure. THE PROJECT

Hong Kong’s first year-round, all-weather water-park at Tai Shue Wan. The ambitious water world facility will feature a unique design seamlessly integrated with its hillside surroundings. The park will feature a total of 27 indoor and outdoor water attractions. It is expected to attract 1.5 million visitors in its first year of operation. The Complex design presents highest waterproofing challenges and requires a professional supplier to provide the all-round waterproofing solutions.

THE SOLUTION

Fosroc, being the waterproofing expert, is able to provide a comprehensive and custom made waterproofing solution. The Fosroc Polyurea WPE high strength spray polyurea membrane for the critical Outdoor Wave Pool which is the Main feature of the Whole Project. Nitoproof 800 membrane and Lokfix E75 resin grout to provide water tightness of the Special ETFE Transparent Roof ; Nitocote CM210 cementitious waterproofing for the Rafting Rivers and all indoor Water Attractions. “Proofex OGP” loose laid membrane for the natural soil formation pond.
