Decathlon opened its Hong Kong Mega store at TKO Spot in mid 2019. Apart from indoor shop floor, it has an outdoor sports playground of over 36000 sq.ft allow visitors to really try and experience the sports products they are curious about. It is the biggest sports retail space in Hong Kong and the fun floor was fully decorated with Trafficguard UR150 polyurethane flooring system.

The Project

Decathlon S.A. , the French sporting goods retailer has over 1647 stores in nearly 300 cities in 57 countries and regions, and is the largest sporting goods retailer in the world.

The TKO spot shop is managed by the LINK, which invests and manages a diversivied portofolio of retail facilities. The mall's revamped outdoor space on 3/F has been transformed into 'TKO Spot-field',Hong Kong's largest rooftop sport space, providing a range of DECATHLON sport equipment so mall goers can try out various sports.

With four zones at the 'TKO SPot-field', namely 'Speed Avenue', 'Sea of Ball', 'Streching Ring', and 'Fun Camp'. The outdoor flooring nees to be attractive with striking palette colours of red, blue and green, and able to take up abrasive traffic suct a scooter riding, roller skating, bicycles and ball games.

The Solution

As per the requirement of colourful, exposed and heavy duty flooring systm, Fosroc Trafficguard UR150 was specified and fulfilled the needs. Nitoflor EU5 high stregth underlayment provided a highly smoothing floors to receive Trafficguard UR150. And, Trafficguard UR150 is a polyurethane traffic deck system designed to provide an attractive and added level of protection to, new and existing, trafficked areas.

The Benefits

The Fosroc Trafficguard UR150 is a UV resistance color flooring system that can be made in the various attractive colors and maintains the color stability in the long term. The Trafficguard UR150 system with excellent tensile in this project usage. The easy cleaning property is also an added benefit to the clients for the daily management.

The 'TKO Spot-field' is HK largest rooftop sports space, with four zones "Speed Avenue", "Sea of Balls", "Strecthing Ring", and "Fun Camp" for variorum sport activities.

Trafficguard UR150 polyurethane flooring system, can provided a hardwearing yet decorative flooring for outdoor usage with attractive color choices.

The anti-slip property and easy cleaning properties are also important criteria in the client's selection to ensure safe and hygiene flooring for the users, especially when family and children users are expected.
