PYE was the appointed main contractor and pre-construction consultant in the development of the Disney Explorers Lodge, the third hotel of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. The scope of this extremely creative and challenging undertaking included pre-construction consulting services, site foundation and excavation, and construction of a 7-storey hotel including external works as well as electrical and mechanical works.
Inspired by the grand era of exploration, the Lodge occupies a beautiful waterfront location on Lantau Island. It is themed on the story of explorers who built a lodge based on their adventures in four places: an African savannah, a South American rainforest, an Oceanian paradise, and a natural beauty spot in Asia. It provides 750 rooms and auxiliary facilities including three themed restaurants and an outdoor swimming pool called The Rain Drop Pool.
