As one of the first facilities of its kind, McLaren Proton Therapy Center makes an advanced cancer treatment process available to patients. Working alongside SmithGroup, CallisonRTKL was challenged with housing the large machinery necessary for proton beam therapy within this 40,000-SF space. Designers were able to install a compact accelerator that offers the same advanced treatment, but for a lower cost and a smaller floor area.
