Wu xing (五行）– directly translating to “five elements” – is an ancient Chinese philosophy that encompasses five phases of the universe‘s ongoing existence and development, Fire (火 huǒ), Water (水 shuǐ), Wood (木 mù), Metal (金 jīn), and Earth (土 tǔ). Inspired by this philosophy, the Concept Scheme of the karaoke club interior design has translated these five elements into different themes and characteristics in harmony with nature and human.
The Karaoke entertainment venue in the central of London is perceived as a place where anyone could escape from the busy city life. The project is a modern interpretation of traditional Chinese values - the five elements harmonious coexistence between human and nature. These five elements are implemented into the character of each of the rooms providing a unique way of experiencing space through Chinese philosophy.
