We are Art-itects who are good at designing transformable space to create flexibility, multi-functionalities and art imageries , so as to response and improve the high dense environment in Hong Kong. The work of Sim-Plex also promote that micro design could be responsive to macro social issues and context. We are not only focusing on residential interior design and built projects, but also engaging in bespoke fur "Sim-Plex" is derived from " searching complexity among simplicity." We believed in every space could be expandable by searching complex spatial transformation among simple details of living. FOUNDER PROFILE Patrick Lam received his Bachelor of Architectural Studies(CUHK) and Master of Architec- ture (CUHK) in 2007 and 2010 respectively. In 2014 - 2016, he further studied his second master degree Master of Arts in Fine Arts (CUHK). Uptill now, he was also a part-time lec- turer of Hong Kong Design Institute(HKDI) in the field of Architecture and Interior Design. After being a senior architect in Ronald Lu and Partners for many years, in 2017, he started his own architectural and interior practice, Sim-Plex Design Studio. The studio has won numerous awards including as the winner of Dezeen award in 2020, IDA award, etc. In 2021, he was invited as a judge of Dezeen Award 2021.Uptill now, Patrick still enjoys the multi-discipline identities of being an architect, interior designer, lecturer or artist.
