About OWMF Architecture
OWMF ARCHITECTURE OWMF core philosophy can be summed up as Craft, Conception and Research. We are passionate about advancing technical craft in concert with a theoretical and conceptual grounding generated from our research and experimentation. This motivating force behind our works results in unpredictable open, wild, whimsical, fun forms and spaces that are absolutely non repetitive. Ultimately OWMF is in the pursuit of inspiring the human spirit and we are always interested in innovative approaches towards it. YONG SY LYNG Yong Sy Lyng founded OWMF Architecture based in Singapore and Malaysia in 2013 with built works and ongoing projects ranging from small to medium scale around Asia. Graduated from The Cooper Union, New York, she believes in striking a balance between practice, research, and teaching. Prior to setting up her independent practice, she had worked on institutional, commercial, and residential projects of various scales with multiple award winning offices in New York, China and Singapore including Shigeru Ban Architects, SOM New York and ARC Studio. She is actively involved in exploration outside of the practice through collaborations with fellow architects, artists, NGOs, and serving as a regular architecture design studio tutor at the National University of Singapore.
