A busy family of four wanted to update their flat to make it a lighter, brighter space. They also had some furniture pieces that they wanted to keep for sentimental reasons, but were open to giving them a facelift.
B Squared Design installed new whitewashed wooden floors, which automatically transformed the entire apartment. We reupholstered the family’s existing living room chairs with a new print that reflected the pool just outside the window, bringing the outdoors in. The dining room table and coffee table were painted to reflect the new color scheme.
For the boys’ room, we designed a custom bunk bed with plenty of storage and room to grow. A brand-new desk area and bookshelves were installed, as well as painting the existing closet with chalkboard paint so that the boys had ample space in their room to express their creativity. The window seat was cleared of clutter and a new cushion and curtains installed to create a cosy reading nook.
In the master bedroom, the color scheme was changed to give the couple a more relaxed, welcoming room. The pattern of the existing artwork above the bed, which they wanted to keep, was the jump-off point for other touches in the room (like the curtains) to tie everything together.
