This regional bureau of Star Newspaper serve to provide, receive and transfer information as well as connect with the community.
Main entrance stands a free standing bare faced concrete wall to greet visitors representing the company’s role in journalism and in support of free speech and reporting on factual basis. Services are grouped on the east side of the building to free up space for a multimedia open plan workspace and amenities open for public such as multi-purpose hall and research centre. All staff enjoy abundant daylight and view through glass windows. The interior space are designed to express externally with the usage of mass, void, shadow, and colours. The corporate red colour was used as feature colour of the building internally and externally. Horizontal aluminium sun shade louvres are incorporated onto windows to treat glare from sunlight and heat penetration into the building. End result is a simple and environmentally friendly building.
