Parcel F is the final phase of Government office buildings in Precint 1, Putrajaya, the administrative capital of Putrajaya. There are in total 10 blocks of buildings, of which we have designed and completed 4 blocks, namely Blocks F5, F6, F7 and F11. Each block houses a designated governmental Department.
This project was procured through a request for proposal (RFP) by the Client, of which we were selected as one of the architects for Parcel F.
This project has achieved certain milestones, namely: -
- It is the first Government related project to utilise BIM in its construction.
- It is accredited GBI Gold.
- It has one of the most impressive and elaborate façade lighting schemes in Putrajaya.
- Block F5, (13 storeys high), as a landmark building with its dynamic form and façade, which usually signifies the beginning of Parcel F, being located close to the Oval Road of precint 1.
- Block F6 and F7, (8 storeys high each), located along a central landscape belt of the development, are designed to reflect the green-themed plazas housed between the buildings.
- Block F11, being one of three blocks that forms the backdrop layer of the development, is designed as a formidable 10 storeys high building that embraces and terminates the development visually.
- Conceptually, a “Songket” inspired theme on the façade design of each building, unifies all blocks as a whole. This is reflected in the intricate patterns and colours in the respective façade of each block.
