ARCHITECTURE DURING ART

With the new WC Save! Laufen presented a sustainable, new product that meets a little-known environmental problem of our time: the pollution of our water by nitrogen. The urine-separation WC Save!, designed by the Austrian design studio EOOS, functions like a conventional flushing toilet and contributes to sustainable urban water management. The Save! urine-separating WC is the next step in a concept developed by EOOS and Eawag with the support of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation as part of the ‘Reinvent the Toilet Challenge’.

LAUFEN and the Brasilea Foundation presented the third edition of the Impressões in 2018 - a project that combines design innovation with the production of Saphirkeramik. In collaboration with the artists Maria-Carmen Perlingeiro, Alex Flemming, Zezão, Christina Oiticica, SHN (Marcelo Fazolin, Haroldo Paranhos, Eduardo Saretta), works of art have been created to honor Brazil and its culture, while offering a new and different medium for the artists.
